Hopefully you'll listen and try one and realise that you don't always have to eat meat and go on about how vegan food is boring and make jokes about vegans even though you secretly worry that you eat too much meat because you watched that documentary and you understand the health and environmental impacts of eating lots of meat but try and ignore it because it gives you anxiety.

You don't need meat to be meaty. Our Meaty Vegan® pies contain no animal ingredients in their fillings or pastry.

If our awesome meaty chickpea mince was any less processed it would still be hanging out on the farm! So what is it you ask? We use Australian wheat gluten, Aussie chickpea flour & our secret herbs and spices to make scrumptious meaty chickpea mince knows as Seitan. Seitan contains roughly the same amount of protein as animal meat and is a good source of several minerals. It’s also low in carbohydrates & fats. In short: it’s nutritious, delicious and one of our favourite dishes!

HOW TO BAKE ME

Bake from frozen do not thaw

Step 1

Preheat fan forced oven to 200°C (220°C conventional oven).

Step 2

Remove pies from pack (leave in foil) and place on an oven-proof baking tray. Tip: Brush top of pies with your preferred milk e.g. soy milk or water.

Step 3

Place tray in centre of hot oven and bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.

Step 4

Remove from oven and let stand for 2 minutes before serving.

Please note: To store, keep frozen at or below -18. Do not refreeze after thawing. Bake from frozen, do not thaw. Heating times and temperatures are only a guide as ovens may vary. Pies must be cooked thoroughly before consumption. Caution: filling may be very hot.
